About Ambika
Welcome to Ambika Bakes! I began baking with my Auntie Vivian when I was four years old, starting with the oatmeal cookie recipe on the Quaker Oats canister. She gave me my first two cookbooks, treasures I still hold dear, and through college, graduate school, and life beyond, I curated my own collection of cookbooks and recipes.

Years of homemade triumphs and baking fails gave me the confidence to adapt and develop recipes that characterize the bites I love best: gooey over crispy, warm over cold, sweet over cloying, and delicious above all.
At Ambika Bakes you’ll find the treats I love baking at home, especially those that pair well with coffee: not overly sweet, relatively easy to put together, and just unique enough to make breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon pick-me-up a little more precious.
As a former English teacher, I have always enjoyed helping students develop skills over time while (in my personal life) I found myself increasingly covered in flour. For me, baking grew over time into my preferred hobby, meditation, and mode of self-expression. I’m thrilled to share my treats with you here at Ambika Bakes!
